I have decided to giveaway an apron (shown below) from my collection, I sold these and many other items at craft shows and I thought it would be a nice little gift.
Now for the contest:I have decided to ask the question:
Do you like music on someone's blog?
I have been thinking of removing my music from my blog and I wanted to get your opinions on this matter.
The contest will run until Tuesday May 12th. Then I will randon pick the winner with the help of Woody, as long as he doesn't eat the strips of paper it will be written on!

I had it on mine for a while...but I took it off. It is a little annoying if you jump blogs and the windows do not close and you have 3 different songs playing at the same time, but hey, I'm ADD I can handle it! haha...if I were to win the apron would the hot flashes start? If it is going to jinx me and me start getting them then don't put my name in the hat woman! I don't need em!
I don't think that will jinx you, I can't promise but I don't think so. So your name is in!
An interesting question. I've had my family and friends say they like my music, and that they actually leave their computer on my blog just to have the music playing in the background.
I like listening to music on other blogs because often I find new music I might like this way.
If I don't want to listen to the music, I just hit the mute button on my keyboard.
But I'll be interested to hear what others think on this subject. :)

My answer to your question is a resounding NO. NO NO NO. If I go to a site and there's music blaring then, unless I love the song, I quickly leave before reading their post. Most of the time I don't love the song so most of the time I quickly leave.
I never new I had a mute button on my keyboard so now I'm off in search of that and if I find it then i don't care if you have music or not. How's that for a wishy washy answer? LOL
Where did you find Ree's blog tutorial? I looked and apparently I'm blind because i don't see it. Would you post a link?

Um, most of you WON'T have a mute button on your keyboard, unless you're the proud owner of a Mac.
PC owners, you will just have to turn your speakers down.
I'm not real fond of music on blogs, because sometimes I'm listening to something else while I'm blogging and then I have 2 kinds of music on. But it surely doesn't keep me from coming back to a blog. Cause if it's on and I don't want to hear I just turn it off.
I'm not a fan of music on blogs, either. Sometimes I'm out at several different blogs at once, and the music is a cacaphony ... annoying, to say the least.
I prefer that blog owners put the music on their site, so I can try it out if I like, but they set it up so that it doesn't load until clicked on by the reader.

Just came over from OzGirl. Love the apron. Do NOT love the music. That's not quite true. I do love music. But I often read blogs late at night while hubby is sleeping or while on hold at work. It can be quite a surprise (read disturbance)to all of a sudden have music blasting. I vote no. Thanks for the link to the tutorial too.

Ditch the music, girlfriend. Although the music choice is good, it distracts from your blog. You have a good thing going here. Don't let it get bogged down with too many extras. Remember - Less is More. :) Otherwise, love the sight!
Coming from someone that has music on their blog, I must admit that I do enjoy visiting other's blog and listening to their music. I may not always like it the selections, but then that's what my volume wheel is for :)
For me, it's fun to be turned onto to different kinds of music, as well as finding out that a blogger and I also might share the same taste in music. That's always neat.
I also must say that on just about everyone of my posts, I get at least one person who comments on the song I have chosen to play first.
And some bloggers tell me they are planning on adding one of my songs to their own blog, which I think is pretty cool.
I've even had some folks say they turn up the volume and either sit and read more of my blog or even do other things in the room, just so they can enjoy my music. lol!
For me my music choices are also a part of my blog and I often choose selections that coincide with a particular post, so it 'fits'. And my music can also portray my mood at the time, too.
So, YES YES, YES I do love the music on blogs.
