Forgive me for being sentimental...being around people you absolutely love and know they love you back...for a moment you own the world then when you realize it is only for a moment, this song by John Mayer says it all: Funny, I never really listened to the words until I was home sick with the flu yesterday. I changed only four words in the song, but it truly reflects what is me....
No I'm not colorblind
I know the world is black and white
I try to keep an open mind
But I just can't sleep on this tonight
Stop this train
I want to get off
And go home again
I can't take the speed it's moving in
I know I can't
But honestly, won't someone stop this train?
Don't know how else to say it
I don't want to see my parents go
One generation's length away
From fighting life out on my own
Stop this train
I want to get off
And go home again
I can't take the speed it's moving in
I know I can't
But honestly, won't someone stop this train?
So scared of getting older
I'm only good at being young
So I play the numbers game
To find a way to say that life has just begun
Had a talk with my Pop
Said "help me understand"
He said "turn eighty-six
You'll renegotiate
Don't stop this train
Don't for a minute change the place you're in
And don't think I couldn't ever understand
I tried my hand
Jeanine, honestly we'll never stop this train "
Once in a while, when it's good
It'll feel like it should
And they're all still around
And you're still safe and sound
And you don't miss a thing
Till you cry when you're driving away in the dark
Singing
Stop this train
I want to get off
And go home again
I can't take the speed it's moving in
I know I can't
Cause now I see I'll never stop this train
So the conclusion, Enjoy the ride! This is for my family, love you all! Thank you for all the fun we have and the memories we make (see what happens when I am sick?!)

Back in Town....
I have been gone for over two weeks being in Vegas assisting the recover of my dad. Really enjoyed myself being with him. I have always been told that I talk a lot, and that I have learned from my father. Some nights staying up until 2AM talking about the past, present, and future.
Many things we talked about I have forgotten, and vice versa. Some of it was a bitter sweet, seeing that my dad has been the only person that was known me all of my life. Wow as he kept saying over and over again "Boy, we have been through a lot, haven't we"? We talked about my old boyfriends, old girlfriends, and just plain friends and family.
Looking through the eyes of an 86 year old man is very sobering and really realizing that life is just mainly filled with memories, that is all we have to hold on to.
Made me appreciate my life and the gifts that the Lord has given me, for that I am truly blessed.
Many times I have just wanted to cry, then I have to think of why? My father is still alive, weak but getting better every day, how incredible that I still have him and am able to sit down and share our memories together. The tears leave quickly with the warmest feeling of calmness comes over me, a peace that I cannot describe.
Well I am home now, trying to catch up on all that has been happening, it snowed last night, just a beautiful powder, 4 inches deep. I promised myself that I am getting out in it today and make a snow angle, I'll try to take a picture of my angel.
Time to get going. Hey everyone, Kim, Vicki, Nona, thanks to the Super Bowl invitations, wish I could be at every one of them. Hope your day is great, and I'll probably write next week to share my SB experience, this should be a great one!
Until then....

It is typical to want to get more in shape for the New Year, typical, not likely!
Let's discuss working out....no...let's discuss different types of "working out" I am not a person that likes to lift weights or go to the gym. Usually, my idea of working out is cleaning the house or lifting a glass of wine. (I am totally serious). However, I have a friend that has the Wii system and had the Wii Fit program, she absolutely loves this system! I thought how odd this little toy is.
I went over to her house and she asked me if I wanted to see how the Wii works! OMG What fun! So for Christmas I got the Wii System and the Fit. Talk about SORE!!!!! OUCH! The suckie part of this is how the Wii trainer yells at you! It is aggravating and before you know it, you are yelling back at it!!! I get the passive aggressive thing! So, I have been actually loving it to death! I catch myself laughing a lot through this. It's a blast to have my friends come over and have them experience it for the first time.
The actual disk for the Wii system has golf, tennis, bowling on it. I actual golf on it just like I golf in real life. I am awful! Same with tennis! But at least I really have a good time doing it, I have actually been banned to drive the cart so everyone can actually play a real game instead of having to deal with me (I get it). We are to play golf tomorrow (uh, I get to drive the cart, tomorrow) down the hill if the winds are not too bad, we'll see.
Off I go to torture myself a little more today. If you have the chance to play with the Wii I highly recommend it, it is a lot of fun!

Well Happy New Year!
I have been trying to take some time to sit down and write about what has been happening in our crazy lives. I hope everyone has had a great, safe and happy holidays. Actually, is that even possible? Ours was great, lots of special times and great memories were made.
Our church had the cutest Christmas program, now that our kids are 18, I have tried and tried to get Alex into a "angel outfit" and sign Away in the Manger, but no luck. It seems less and less that I will be able to get him to humor me.
Christmas was nice, except for the white out condition on the way to my in law's house. But the drive was worth it, over the river and through the woods, should be "over the lake and through the forest to Nona's house we go! Prime rib from our cow and ham from our pig was the guest at our table, fabulous! I have some pics that I will put on so you can enjoy them as I did.
I got a new camera, a Nikon D40! Thanks to Ree from The Pioneer Woman, she has me hooked!!! I am taking pictures of everything! Poor family! Now I have to take a couple of classes so I can tame this wild thing in my hand. So until then, be patient with me, please!
New Year's Eve was out of the ballpark! I went to Las Vegas on Sunday after Christmas to visit my father in the hospital and what was to be one night ended being almost five days!
BG asked if Andy and I would like to bring in the New Year with them. I thanked her
but told her I was going to head on home on NYE morning to go to friends house. Then she told me what they had planned. They had reservations at the Belliago Hotel and NYEve dinner at the Paris Restaurant, in the Eiffel Tower, I got light headed.
Well to make an incredible story short, Andy was there at 7:30AM (which means he left the house at 5AM). The evening was magical!!!! What a special night, I crowned myself Pecious Princess!!!! The four hour dinner was remarkable and the wines were paired so awesome, of what I can remember.
We watched the motorcycle guy do the ramp up the Paris ramp up close in actual time! Boy was that something! However, my camera was not on the right shutter speed, it was a blur, but the memory was there!
In all the years I lived in Vegas, I never went to the strip for the celebration, now to go out in that crowd to cross the strip was a trip. Good thing BIL is 6'4. He was parting the crowd like Moses was parting the sea! He had BG's hand, I had BG's belt loop and Andy had a hold of my arm and some drunk guy had his hand on Andy's shoulder!
I have been blessed to have some incredible memories in my life and this is one of the top ones!
I took some pictures of the Belliago and some of the room with some of the pool. I have been at this hotel a few times but saw it in a total different light!
I am wanting to wish everyone a wonderful New Year and may God Bless this journey we call Life and keep him in our prayers.

Here it comes AGAIN!!
Here we go again! WOWWWWWW!!!! I am sitting here at 11Am watching it snow and snow and snow! Alex got stuck and Andy had to help him get unstuck! Alex just decided to stay where he got stuck which was in the road! That wasn't going to work! Sure wish I took my video camera, which reminds me, I need to take it out and start using it again, nice camera and only used it when we were in Europe.
My poor baby, he is soooo sore! I am writing and listening to him grunt and moan, Kim called him "Andy Do Gooder" between going over to help take my truck with the Warn Wench to pull out our Marina Del Rey friends, from being stuck between a tree and rock. Then going over to Kim and Daryl's and digging them out. All for nothing, because of today is going to be all a "do-over". We even got a call from our neighbors above us and asked to look at their poontoon boat seeing foot prints from their remote video camera. Andy worked his way up there, snow up to his middle thighs, and saw it was coyote tracks.
We even have bunny tracks on our patio all the way to our kitchen door. I bet he wanted to come in and snuggle up with Roadie Punkin Head and Mr. Utely, I have to post pics of them they are precious!
I downloaded all my Christmas music and am enjoying listening to it with a cup of Hot Chocolate and my husband. Boy is it snowing, I want to open presents!!!
Well enough for today, crazy weather, will be here and continuing at least until 10 tonight!
